April 2012

Well another month has flown by so here's the photo update of this month.
It's been a quiet month in may ways with a couple of busy days chucked in here and there.
We spent a quiet week before Easter in preparation for a trip to Broadford to Steve's sister Chris and Johns place for his Dad's 80th birthday.
Though this was a wonderful day the travel exhausts Steve so much that the rest of this month has been very quiet while he recovers.

Steve & I

My brother David, Franca and boys called in Easter Monday on their way home from Sydney.... can't believe I didn't take a photo of them but am guessing it was because we all chatted too much and just plain forgot.

Though I went, Steve didn't get to Bec and Nathan's annual birthday dinner out as
he was too exhausted  -  Bec did visit on her actual birthday and have dinner with us
at home which was nice.

This year we went to the Blazing Stump Hotel which was a lovely meal and a fun night out.

Caidence came  from Bendigo to Jerilderie then across to here with Granny Janet to go out with Aunty Bec and Uncle Nathan.

We had a night out at the Club for dinner with John and his sister Linda (out visiting from England) on her birthday. Great night with lots of fun, good music and laughter.

I have been spending a bit of quiet time down on the Murray river at Noriel park and getting used to what I can do with my new camera. the area is beautiful at this time of year with the colours changing.

Loved this simple shot but then found some new things Ican do on the computer to change photos and came up with the photo on the right. I can't wait to scrapbook this one.

The autumn days have been beautiful so we managed to head out and have lunch at the Hume weir one day last week and watch the world go by....

Whenever we are out at the weir we try to take a photo of this tree as it shows the changes in the water levels between visits.

March 2012

HI all, another month has gone by so here's March in review....

The Boys

Trevor and Margaret passed through from Whyalla again and spent a week in Chiltern so we got to see a bit more of them than usual and along with John had a lovely time at the Commercial Club listening to the band and having dinner.

The girls

Spent a lovely Sunday afternoon having woodfired pizza at Watchbox Wines where we caught up with Heather and Loui and Ann for lunch. Was lovely to see Tyson and Shelley who run the restaurant...gorgeous day to sit outdoors amongst the greenery.

I was the only person to enter the scrapbooking section at the Wodonga Show so scooped all the prizes...

I had a lovely 2 days away at Porepunkah on a carers retreat while Steve was cared for at home.
Beautiful room and gorgeous comfy bed, right on the river....

The neighbours had a gorgeous dispilay of dahllia's
The deck overlooked the river and we spent heaps of time on it.
 ... including African Drumming...loved it

Took a drive to bright in my spare time and had a look around the lovely old town

Retreat finished with lunch at this lovely winery looking over valley and mountains.....

February 2012 in Wodonga

Well here it is the end of February and nothings been added to the blog for a while so below is a snapshot of February in Wodonga......

Steve and John are still enjoying coffee time... this time at Elmwood Cafe.

I had a Deluxe Pedicure and now have navy blue toenails.... the verdict's still out on whether I like them or not.
Dropped my old camera on it's lens so trying the new one out... family pets Oxley and Deefer lazing around.

On the way home from the club last night snapped these shots at Noriel Park in Albury.

 In our garden.....

Herb patch above looks like it needs a bit of TLC

Weed to left keeps the lonely little nasturtium company

Australia Day

Steve celebrated Australia Day in style with his Aussie flag and hat.

Chris and Harold visited for a few days starting Australia Day. We had a nice night out at the club and just a lovely quiet time chatting and watching movies. A couple of late nights for them heading back to the motel.

Hello

Hi all
Been pretty quiet here mainly trying to escape the warmer weather.

I have been busy scrapbooking so my other blog zanste.blogspot.com has some new photos on it.

Our first visitors for 2012 were Doug and Simone from Ballarat who booked a couple of nights in a motel and came to catch up early in the month. We picked up our friend John and all went out for dinner at the club.
Last year when they came up I forgot to take a photo so remembered this time!

Just last week we caught up with Leonie and Rex from Peterborough Sth Aust as they passed through which was lovely ... forgot the photo though!
